Patrick Salazar — Founder and Lead Inspector
Patrick has been on cranes since 2005. He still wears boots, not just a tie.
He founded 3P Safety Inspections to do one thing well: inspect cranes and tell owners the truth about them.
His credentials run deep:
- NCCCO Mobile Crane Operator — LBC, TLL, and TSS
- NCCCO Tower Crane Operator
- NCCCO Certified Crane Inspector
- NCCCO Lift Director
- OSHA 500 outreach trainer
- Qualified Person under OSHA 29 CFR 1926.32(m)
- First Aid and CPR, current
What “Qualified Person” Means
OSHA reserves the annual crane inspection for a qualified person — someone with the training, the credentials, and the experience to judge a crane against the standard. Our inspectors meet that bar. That is what makes our reports hold up in an audit.
Standards Our Team Knows
We inspect to the rules that govern each kind of gear:
- OSHA 1926.1412 and 1910.179
- ASME B30.2, B30.3, B30.5, and B30.6
- ASME B30.9, B30.10, B30.20, and B30.26 for rigging
- ANSI A92 for aerial lifts
- EM 385-1-1 for federal and military sites
Equipment Our Team Inspects
Our inspectors cover the full range of cranes and lifting gear:
- Mobile cranes — rough-terrain, all-terrain, truck-mounted, and crawler
- Tower cranes — before, during, and after the climb
- Overhead, bridge, and gantry cranes
- Rigging gear — slings, shackles, hooks, and below-the-hook tools
- Aerial lifts — boom lifts and scissor lifts
- Material and personnel hoists
- Load tests and non-destructive testing (NDT)
What Every Report Includes
Each inspection ends with a record you can use:
- A clear PDF with photos of each finding
- Each finding tied to an OSHA or ASME rule
- Severity ratings you can act on
- A punch list of what to fix first
- A signed, dated record for your files
How We Schedule and Dispatch
You send your crane types and your site. We send a quote in about a business day and reach most sites in 24 to 72 hours. One inspector can cover a whole fleet in a single trip, which keeps your cost and downtime down.
Independence and No Conflicts
We do not sell, rent, or repair cranes. We answer to the standard, not to a sales team. That independence is the whole point — it is why our reports carry weight with auditors, insurers, and general contractors.
Part of the 3P Safety Family
We are one of three sister brands. 3P Safety Crane Training runs NCCCO operator training. 3P Safety Staffing places safety pros. 3P Safety ties it all together.
