We cover all 50 states with NCCCO-certified inspectors, inspecting to OSHA and the ASME B30 series and naming the exact rule behind every finding. Most jobs get an itemized quote within a business day, and we reach the majority of sites in 24 to 72 hours. Since 2005 our work has run the full range — from owner-operators with a single boom truck to Fortune 500 manufacturers and federal agencies.

Who We Are — Led by a Working Inspector
3P Safety Inspections was founded by Patrick Salazar, who has been on cranes since 2005 and still wears boots, not just a tie.
His path runs straight through the work: operator, then lift director planning critical picks, then certified inspector. He has run the iron, rigged the load, and called the lift — and now he inspects to the same standards he has worked under for two decades.
Most inspection firms hide behind “our team.” Your inspection is led by a named, credentialed professional who has been in the seat and on the hook. Patrick’s credentials run deep:
- NCCCO Mobile Crane Operator — LBC, TLL, and TSS
- NCCCO Tower Crane Operator
- NCCCO Certified Crane Inspector
- NCCCO Lift Director
- OSHA 500 outreach trainer (authorized to teach the 30-hour construction and general-industry courses)
- Qualified Person under OSHA 29 CFR 1926.32(m)
- Working knowledge of EM 385-1-1, USACE three-phase control, NAVFAC, and critical-lift planning
- First Aid and CPR, current
What We Inspect
We cover the full range of cranes and lifting equipment, each to its governing standard:
- Mobile cranes — rough-terrain, all-terrain, truck-mounted, crawler, boom-truck, and carry-deck (OSHA 1926.1412, ASME B30.5)
- Tower cranes — pre-erection, in-service, climb, and dismantle (ASME B30.3)
- Overhead, bridge, and gantry cranes in plants and shops (OSHA 1910.179, ASME B30.2)
- Rigging and below-the-hook gear — slings, shackles, hooks, and spreader bars (ASME B30.9, B30.10, B30.26)
- Aerial lifts — boom and scissor lifts / MEWPs (ANSI A92)
- Rated-capacity load testing and non-destructive testing (NDT)
- Jib, monorail, and material-hoist systems
Who We Serve
Since 2005 we have inspected cranes and lifting gear for hundreds of organizations across more than twenty states — and we cover all fifty. The range is wide on purpose: the same standards apply whether it is one boom truck behind a shop or a fleet on a federal construction site. The industries we serve most:
Operators & Owners Who Trust Us
Our work spans the full market — owner-operators with a single boom truck, regional crane-rental houses, national general contractors and steel erectors, Fortune 500 manufacturers and utilities, and federal and military agencies.
Hundreds of organizations across more than twenty states have put their cranes and rigging in front of our inspectors, and the same OSHA and ASME standards apply to every one of them, from the smallest yard to the largest federal job site. We hold every engagement in confidence and reference our clients only by the kind of work, never by name or pricing, unless they ask us to.
Federal & Government Experience
Federal and military crane work answers to EM 385-1-1 on top of OSHA and ASME — designated persons, critical-lift plans, activity hazard analyses, and USACE three-phase control. We have supported crane and lifting-equipment work for federal civilian agencies and Department of Defense facilities, and we report in the agency-specific format each office expects. 3P Safety is SAM.gov registered and ready for federal and base work (UEI N32TWKB7DD61, CAGE 20QE6).
Why an Independent Third Party
We answer to the standard, not to a sales team. An inspector who also sells or rents cranes has a reason to shade a report. We do not, so the only thing our findings serve is the truth about your gear. That independence is exactly why an outside report carries weight — auditors, insurers, lenders, general contractors, and contracting officers all want to see it. We catch small problems before they grow, and we write the report in plain words a foreman can read.
The Standards We Inspect To
Every report names the rule behind each finding:
- OSHA 1926.1412 — cranes on construction sites
- OSHA 1910.179 and 1910.180 — cranes in plants
- ASME B30.5, B30.3, and B30.2 — mobile, tower, and overhead cranes
- ASME B30.9 through B30.26 — slings and rigging hardware
- ANSI A92 — aerial work platforms
- EM 385-1-1 — federal and military job sites

3P Safety Inspections is the inspection arm of the 3P Safety family. 3P Safety Crane Training delivers NCCCO operator, rigger, and signalperson certification. 3P Safety Staffing places credentialed safety professionals. 3P Safety ties the three together. One family, one standard, nationwide.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are you really independent?
Yes. We do not sell, rent, or repair cranes, rigging, or parts. We inspect and report — nothing else — so a finding never points back to a sale.
What kinds of clients do you work with?
Everyone from an owner-operator with one boom truck to national general contractors, Fortune 500 manufacturers, and federal agencies. The same OSHA and ASME standards apply across all of them.
Do you work on federal and military sites?
Yes. We inspect to EM 385-1-1 on top of OSHA and ASME, report in agency format, and are SAM.gov registered (UEI N32TWKB7DD61, CAGE 20QE6) for federal and base work.
How fast can you get to my site?
We quote most jobs within a business day and reach the majority of sites in 24 to 72 hours, in all 50 states. Rush work is fine — just ask.
Who actually performs the inspection?
A named, NCCCO-certified inspector who meets the qualified-person bar OSHA sets for the annual inspection — not a faceless call center.
Need a crane inspection? Call (252) 229-5238 or request a quote online, and an NCCCO-certified inspector will get you a price and a date.
